Where and How Should I Invest My Money?
The below are 5 areas to invest with percentage based on initial investment.
-
Emergency Fund - 20%
-
Recommend you put this in a high-interest savings account to be backed by the FDIC such as the one offered by Ally Bank.
-
-
Freedom Fund - 30%
-
This should be put in low-cost index funds from Betterment and/or Wealthfront for high growth potential.
-
-
LongTerm Savings - 10%
-
A company matched 401k or Roth IRA from Vanguard.
-
-
Real Estate or a Business - 30%
-
Real estate or starting your own business can be a great investment. If you are less risk orientated invest in crowd-funded real estate or REITs from Fundrise or RealtyMogul.
-
-
High-Risk Speculation - 10%
-
My favorite right now is Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. Buy Bitcoin on Coinbase to get started.
